Groups.io is FrenchNet’s forum where members can post messages that all members can read. It’s used for sharing tips and ideas, asking for help with terminology or more general advice, finding out about events, offers of work and lots more.
Today, 98% of our members are on Groups.io and we’re working to add the remaining 2%.
If you’re a regular contributor, thank you for helping to make the forum an interesting, relevant place for French linguists.
If you’ve never posted on Groups.io, why not try it out? Don’t think you have anything to say? Simply introduce yourself! Even if you know dozens of peers through other networks, there are bound to be people on FrenchNet who haven’t met you yet. Or perhaps you introduced yourself years ago? If so, this is a great opportunity to let us know what you’ve been working on recently. Have you specialised in a particular field, or changed direction in your career?
Simply send an email to main@ITI-FrenchNet.groups.io, with the subject ITI-FrenchNet New Member or ITI-FrenchNet Introduction. Or better still, log into Groups.io by clicking on https://iti-frenchnet.groups.io/ and then:
- Click on “New Topic” on the left.
- Add the hashtag #newmember or #networking by clicking “Add Tags” in the top right corner of your screen.
- Fill in the Subject field and type your message in the main box.
- Click the green “Send” button at the bottom of the page.
It’s as simple as that!
Too many emails from Groups.io? In the next issue of Au Courant, we’ll look at how often you’d like to receive notifications – immediately, daily or not at all!
